Just three weeks after the Pearl Harbor attack, a formal Declaration by the United Nations featured 26 countries pledging to fight the Axis powers. Known less formally as “the Allies” during the war, these United Nations were the occasional subject of posters that encouraged Americans to remember the worldwide nature of their struggle as well as the many cultures that were alongside them in that fight.
